It has been an exciting week for fans of Rockstar Games’ western shooter series. Having teased the living daylights out of the internet with the change of their classic black and gold logo to the blood red colours of RDR, rumours ran amok as to what would be announced in the very near future.
These rumours have been circling for quite some time now, too. Given the map image leak earlier in the year, there has been mass speculation as to when what would see a Red Dead sequel, and what form it would take. Given the success of the first RDR coming to backwards compatibility on Xbox One, it was clear to see that it was a product still highly in demand.
Now we know that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release in the fall of 2017. The franchise will return to tell a tale of the Old West, and is scheduled to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. As of this time, there has been no word on whether the sequel will be released on PC. For a first (and short) glimpse of the game, check out the trailer below. We are at the first station of the hype train, so hop aboard because there is a year long wait ahead!
