Adventure Quest 3D is preparing it’s new Level 15 area, entitled Ashfall. But before anything gets released to players, the team obviously has to go through and ensure it meets not only the quality of the game, but that it is able to be playable at all.
In fact, the creator of Adventure Quest (Artix) was the one who decided to do a personal test run of the new level. He wanted to ensure the level flowed, as well as was fun. Very fun in fact.
Artix acknowledges that the games story has been darker as of late, but that’s because the writing team has really been trying to do something special with this saga. He also notes the unintentional limitations that the game was put under via their desire to limit quests and stories to certain areas of the game. He notes that this will be fixed via the Ashfall update, and that you’ll see just big the game will get once it’s out.
The other big thing the Adventure Quest 3D team is working on is just updates and bug fixes. For example, they’re hard at a work on a Guide System that’ll help players get to where they need to go. They’re also working on the Party System, special dungeons, working on environmental damage (because that’s always fun!), and a slew of other things. Add this to the bug fixes they’re trying to implement, and it’s clear that the team is busy, very busy.
The team has a plan for the next six months, and they aim to have Ashfall ready for release between this summer and October, depending on how progress goes. They also ask for you to wish them luck…so…wish them luck!
