Antaria Online, a cross-platform MMORPG currently in Steam Early Access, has released the details on their impending update. According to the post on Steam, the development team has been working on a new zone for levels 15-20, and will be increasing the level cap to 25. They’ve also made some progress in adding the job trainer, allowing players to branch out to more than just the Adventurer job.
With retro style and designed with plenty of community feedback, Antaria Online looks to be a charming and approachable MMORPG. But the Steam Early Access version was released as a complete skeleton, with only one job available, two PvE zones, and one city. It was also lacking several mechanics and features that make MMORPGs what they are, such as chat, grouping, trading, and even unique usernames.
But now, the team is rolling along, and they’re looking to be adding a new PvE zone within the next two weeks. Despite this increasing the playable PvE zones effectively by 50%, the team is tight-lipped about the details of this new zone.
What they do highlight is their work on the upcoming Job Trainer UI. The plan is to allow players to switch between jobs and level up whichever ones they want, once more jobs are available. The first new addition the team is working on will be the Bandit job, which will be free for a short duration once it’s officially released. After that, the shifty fighter will cost 100 Gems. The team also notes that quests will not reset when you switch jobs, so you’ll have to grind it out to level up.
Of course, as this is a game that is highly focused on community feedback, they also mention that that could potentially change down the road. The team plans to listen to their players and supporters in terms of the development of Antaria Online.
