Trion announced today that the auction houses on Legacy and Fresh Start servers will be merged during this week’s ArcheAge maintenance. Marketplace updates on the Fresh Start servers are also arriving.
Merging auction houses is probably another indication that ArcheAge’s servers have population problems, at least some of them, and obviously, there was not enough active trading taking place on some servers. The big question is, that if there is indeed an issue with server populations, why didn’t the western publisher merge the servers themselves, and not just the auction houses?
While the auction house merges are taking place, items listed on Legacy Servers will not be affected but Fresh Start server items will be returned to the player unless there are bids. In other words, if you are playing on a Fresh Start server and have items listed in the AH, then you will not get your item back, but the highest bidder will be receiving the item at the time of the merge. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to the fact that when the time comes for maintenance, many will be hunting for low bid items in the AH right before the server shutdown occurs.
As mentioned above, Fresh Start servers will be getting a marketplace update, namely the Rumbling Archeum Tree Sapling, which can be purchased for 35 Loyalty or 60 Merit Badges. For more information, check out Trion’s official post.
