It seems that XLGAMES’ fantasy MMORPG, ArcheAge is doing rather well in Korea, as similarly to the EU and NA regions, a fresh server will be opening this month.
The official Korean website speaks of the opening date of a fresh server that will go by a familiar name for EU players, Kyprosa. The fresh server in Korea is going to work with a similar system to what we had in the west. This particular server is dedicated for new accounts, which means anyone who’s looking for a fresh start will have to begin from scratch. A new account is a must and deleting your old characters on other servers will not lift the limitations.
The Kyprosa server is set to open on January 19 and it is highly likely that Korean players will be facing similarly long login queues. If you decide to create a new account and begin your journey on the fresh server, you will not be able to create a character on the old servers. Housing construction on the new Kyprosa server will be available from January 22. The official announcement also mentions that restarting your progress in ArcheAge will give you some OBT vibes, and that was actually the case when we played on the European and NA fresh servers (including the nostalgic feelings caused by the myriad of bugs).
ArcheAge is undoubtedly a major title in the current MMORPG industry, and these freshly launched servers are attracting back a lot of players, making the game surprisingly active once again. Hopefully XLGAMES learned a few tricks from the issues that occurred when Trion Worlds launched the two fresh servers and will not be upsetting its player base as much.
