The next major expansion for TERA, Fang and Feather introduces adjustments to the archer class and a 30-player raid.
Players of TERA are excited as the new update approaches. Titled Fang and Feather, the patch will revamp the archer class and present a new dungeon for a massive party of 30 players. Not everyone shares the same sentiment, however, as some fans are worried about content being rushed to take the Western servers closer to where the Korean version is, thus delaying necessary fixes.
User JasonLucas attached a screenshot depicting several known issues to a forum post made by the development team of TERA, adding “There are still a lot of bugs from previous builds to be fixed. Are we just receiving one more layer of bugs or does BHS has plans to fix a good portion of them?” Others, such as LancerJiva, criticize the company for releasing a new update so quickly, saying “The current patch has only been out for, like, 2 weeks and the next update is already being announced.”
The archer revamp includes some new skills and mechanics, such as Find Weakness, a skill that treats the player’s next attack as a rear shot regardless of their position, Chase, which allows the player to charge forward up to 16m, great to keep fleeing enemies in range, and several adjustments, like Rapid Fire dealing triple the damage for the first hit and 10% more damage for each subsequent hit, and Poison Arrow cast time being drastically reduced.
Not much have been said about the new raid, but players claim on the forums that its intention is to upgrade VM8 equipment to VM8.5, dispelling rumors that Fang and Feather will introduce new gear.
