Q&A’s and an easy and simple way for developers to connect with their fans, as well as answer questions about their title that may not be answered via Patch Notes or regular updates. Armored Warfare did one yesterday, here are the highlights of what they discussed.
First, a fan asked why the ammo slots in tanks were reduced from 5 to 3. The developer replied that it wasn’t a choice they made lightly, but rather, one that focused on what players do when they enter a match. For if they have 5 different ammo, they’re preparing for many different kind of scenarios, running through many options in their heads to try and cover all possible situations. However, if they only have 3 ammo slots, they’ll know exactly what ammo to take into every battle, because it’ll be the ammo they need the most.
An upcoming patch was asked about also, with Balance 2.0 coming to the game soon, a player wondered what the role of Light Tanks would be in it. The team replied that for them, the point of the Light Tanks in this patch would be to be scouts in some fashion, but also to be good flankers. As they’re going to be given a speed and mobility boost in the upcoming balance update.
Another player asked what plans the team at Armored Warfare have once Balance 2.0 is done. The team happily responded by saying that they’re aiming to have much more content, many more maps, new updates and tweaks, and above all else, do more to make the player base happy. They wouldn’t go into specifics though.
