With its first Western release in 2015 for the PlaySttion 3, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea receives a new version for the PlayStation Vita called Atelier Shallie Plus, due to release January 20th, 2017 in Europe.
The all new Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea saw its first release back in March 2016 in Japan, also for the PlayStation Vita. Koei Tecmo Europe revealed today the bonus content available to those who purchase either the physical limited edition (available at the NIS America Europe Online Store) or the digital edition (available through the PlayStation Store) within the first month of its release:
Early purchases will also grant access to a special selection of background music containing tunes from previous Atelier games.
Additionally, Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea introduces a fresh new story and brings back beloved characters from the franchise, such as Escha Malier, Logix Ficsario, and Ayesha Altugle. The cast can join Shallistera and Shallotte in their journey through the world of Dusk, as well as experience a story exclusive to this version of the game.
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is the 16th entry in the Atelier series of games and the third and final installment in the Dusk storyline. It follows Shallistera, the daughter of a tribe leader pursuing a solution for a crisis affecting her homeland, and Shallotte, a struggling alchemist with great ambitions who runs her late father’s atelier shop. Throughout their journey, they will encounter personalities in the likes of Kortes, Shallistera’s childhood friend, Wibell voll Erslied, a grand magician undergoing training, Jurie Crotze, a lone treasure hunter, and her younger sister, Miruca, who is also Shallotte’s childhood friend and provides blacksmithing services.
