Having been recently revealed to be subject to some changes, Overwatch sentry hero Bastion’s altered abilities have apparently been revealed. Deciphered by a user on Battle.net, the conclusion appears to be that Bastion may have been subject to a rather hefty nerf.
Using YouTube as a source, user Dastuke discovered that Bastion has been buffed for sentry, but nerfed for tank. The post suggests that the hero may now have 425 HP, with a 35% hit to its damage and removing 150 armor. A few other issues were highlighted, with Bastion no longer being able to headshot with sentry, and suffers from a less effective range than before whilst in sentry also. Whilst the post predominantly alludes to the fact that there are a lot of nerfs involved, it also makes the point that any buffs made are largely insignificant.
These statistics are yet to be confirmed, and as Swedneck suggests:
We should wait for the servers to come back up before judging the changes.
BigProf doesn’t see it as nerf at all, citing that if Bastion has more mobility, it will ultimately prove to be more effective:
Moving while healing and through damage is a big buff. That alone is gonna make Bastion significantly more powerful vs flankers. One of Bastions big problems is once you need to heal, you go for cover then just kinda stand there and HOPE no one chases after you. Now you can keep running while you top up and get to another spot.
