Just because a game does well in one place of development, doesn’t mean it’ll do well when it launches. But for the game Battlerite, not only did it do well, it trended very highly on Steam. The arena PVP game was original on Steam Early Access for over a year, slowly building up the game and what it could be via player feedback. Then, yesterday, it was fully released, and the now free-to-play game excited many, so much so that it’s not only gotten very positive reviews, but it was the #1 trending game on Steam, according to the team anyway.
And as if that wasn’t enough, the Battlerite team also dropped an update on the game that brought not only 200 items (that includes weapons, victory poses and various other things), but they also gave players a brand new character in the form of Thorn.
“It’s been one hell of a year since we entered Steam Early Access and we can finally deliver on our promise to launch Battlerite as a free-to-play game, making it easily accessible to all PvP arena brawler fans to enjoy,” said Peter Ilves, Game Director at Stunlock Studios said in a statement.
So, if you don’t know what Battlerite is, it’s a team based PVP arena game where you pick a champion and work together with teams in 2v2 or 3v3 matches that’ll test your teamwork and skills to the limit. What’s more, there are varieties of matches that you can partake in. So no matter if you want a Quick Match or something more structured, the game has you covered.
And this is just the beginning, as the team will no doubt be updating and upgrading the game now that it’s out for the whole world to see. So, don’t be afraid to check it out on Steam, remember, it’s free-to-play!
