There’s a lot of work that goes into making a video game. It’s not just making the game, it’s planning out what to do next, and when, and then letting others know so that accountability can be had. Then, there are games like Battlerite, who have been on Steam Early Access for a while and are slowly starting to make their way off of it. They want everyone to know what’s happening, and that’s exactly what they’ve done. Here are the highlights.
In regards to the past week, the team has been working on changes that’ll be implemented towards Season 05 of their online play. Such as the removal of the Contender League, the reducing of size in the divisions per league. Making the higher leagues more “prestigious” as well. There’s also going to be better matchmaking, a new rating decay system, and much more, as well as more coming as time goes on.
Battlerite just celebrated its 1 year anniversary on Steam Early Access, and so they’re giving players a look behind the scenes to see who the people voicing their favorite characters are. Here’s the latest one:
As for the future, there’s a lot that the games players can look forward to. First off, there’s going to be a free week of play that will be offered to everyone. It’ll start 9/25, and end on 10/1. So if you’ve been considering trying Battlerite, but didn’t want to pay for Early Access, now is your chance to play.
Now, if you think it should be free all the time, then you’re in luck. On November 8th, the game goes free-to-play, fully. This will also include a “mysterious new champion” to go along with the launch.
There will also be new game modes, new items, and a few surprises along the way as time ticks down towards the launch.
