In the space of just one week, Black Desert Mobile, developed by Pearl Abyss, has managed to exceed one million pre-registrations in Korea, as of yesterday.
A media showcase that was held on November 23rd for Black Desert Mobile showed the entire world that the limits on mobile games certainly can be exceeded. The game offers stunning graphics, as well as a user-friendly business model that left many in attendance gripped as to what the game was capable of. Not only that, but as soon as pre-registrations got underway in Korea, the site was might with mass traffic, which is set to break a number of records for sure.
Young-chul Ham, the company’s strategic planning director, stated:
“The number of pre-registrations reached a whomping 1,000,000 in seven days from the start of pre-registrations. I am very grateful to all those who have contributed to the game. Before we release it in Korea, we will focus on improving the game, and we will bring you something that will satisfy many people. We also want to let our global users know that we plan to launch Black Desert Mobile globally in 2018.”
The official trailer, which you can see above, also attracted plentiful attention across the web and on social media, which was revealed in line with the showcase event. This has understandably brought a high level of expectation from fans, especially with the graphics and action seen that isn’t usually found in games on such platforms.
