There are a lot of important factors that lead to the success of a game after launch, and one of them is communication between developer and player. This goes especially when something is wrong with the game and players have to try and tell the developer what is wrong. For Black Desert Online, a very popular and successful MMORPG, they have always posted Patch Notes for their game on Steam. But, they now believe that there’s an easier way to it. And so…they’re going to do it that way.
What way exactly? Well, they’ve decided to start posting all Patch Notes they make on the official Black Desert website. Now this goes beyond just the basic Patch Notes, this means that when any event, or addition, or anything else that’s being put into the game is ready, they’ll put the notes about who, what, when, where, why, etc. on the website for people to check out with relative ease. Not to mention, they have a bunch of other information about Black Desert Online on the site…so…why not just put everything there? Exactly! You would!
It’ll now be a one-stop shop for everything Black Desert Online. Now, for those who frequent Steam anyway and no the main site, don’t worry, they’re going to post the link there on Steam regardless so that you can warp right too it without too much searching.
Another thing of note, the team is still wanting any and all feedback you can give on the game. They truly believe (and rightfully so) that it’s because of players and their feedback that the game has advanced so far, and they don’t want to stop that. Thus, they want you to go to the forums for the game and comment on anything you feel needs fixed, adjusted, balanced, etc.
All in all, it seems like they want to help you, and in the process, help them. Not a bad deal, huh?
