KING Art Games and THQ Nordic have revealed a brand new chapter in the tragic story of the Gordon family today, as they announced the release of Black Mirror. This serves as a modern re-imagining of the renowned horror adventure series with a gothic twist. This time, we see new protagonist David Gordon having to deal with the mysteries of Black Mirror castle, all the while trying to uncover the potential curse his family has been stricken with.
Check out the gameplay trailer below:
Black Mirror, which has made its way to both PC and consoles including PS4 and Xbox One, works in a similar fashion to the original graphic adventure trilogy, bringing back the gothic horror genre steeped in maddening atmosphere and psychological distress that can only be tied to Black Mirror.
This time however, it alters the point-and-click gameplay that the original trilogy provided, switching focus to close-up investigation and interaction, complete with nightmarish visions that continue to haunt protagonist Gordon.
If you’re interested in purchasing the game, it is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Standard retail prices are coming in at €29,99/$29.99/£24.99 on PC, whilst the console versions will set you back $29.99/£34.99. So if psychological terror in a gothic manner is your cup of tea, then Black Mirror certainly looks like a title that you should definitely look out for.
