Many World of Warcraft were very disappointed with Blizzard when they ended the “For Azeroth” even ahead of when it was scheduled to end. This caused a lot of players to not get the promised prize of a Flamesaber mount due to the reduced timeframe. So, Blizzard has heard the cries from the player base, and have decided to reopen the event for a limited time, and yet again offer the mount for completing the task.
For those who don’t recall, the “For Azeroth” event actually didn’t take place in World of Warcraft, but rather in Blizzard’s MOBA title Heroes of the Storm. The special event would actually make Heroes of the Storm free-to-play for the time of the event, and if you were able to win 15 matches in the game during the time with a World of Warcraft character (as Heroes of the Storm has characters from all of Blizzard’s franchises in the game) while playing with a friend from your Battle.net list, you’d get the Flamesaber.
The original event took place from February 14th to March 13th, but like we said, they ended it early. The new event is on now and will go on until March 26th, so don’t waste a moment if you’re trying to get the mount.
Plus, to truly make it up to players, Blizzard is making it so any victories you got in the original event will still be valid here. Meaning, if you only need one or two more wins to get the reward, that’s all you’ll need now.
So, if you are mad at what happened, don’t be mad anymore, because now you have a second chance to get the prize and have fun at the same time. Just hop into the free trial of Heroes Of The Storm, win some matches with friends, then get your mount for World of Warcraft and show it off.
