As everyone that is actively playing Hearthstone can tell, Blizzard is really trying to improve their game as best as possible, or at least it seems that way. From the nerfs that hit Spreading Plague and Innervate, to the fun Dual Class Arena mode, and now to the upcoming exclusive Arena cards, it seems like Blizzard actually started listening to players, and that is just what the game needs right now.
There were a lot of problems with Hearthstone back in the day, and Blizzard always took their time with the nerfs. This, of course, meant that the players either had to wait and not play the game until these problems got fixed, or they could play it and become infuriated when they encountered certain unbalanced cards (like the pre-nerf Undertaker for example). But, Blizzard is much quicker now when it comes to fixing certain cards (even though Ultimate Infestation never got touched but we’ll let that one slide), and they are even bringing exciting new features that the players have been asking for, in a way.
The first thing that Blizzard did right was the Dual Class arena, which was really fun and it was a much-needed break from the regular Arena which was simply filled with all kinds of problems (like the Death Knight cards that don’t belong in that mode at all) but this mode was really fun and it was a breath of fresh that we needed, so props to Blizzard for making that happen. Then, we got information that they are adding Arena-exclusive cards which should help certain classes hold their own against some of the more powerful ones, as a part of an event it seems.
Even the upcoming expansion looks like it’s bringing lots of new toys for us to play with, and none seem too overpowered at the moment, but we will have to see which decks get made with these cards to properly judge their power level.
Overall, it seems like Blizzard is going in the right direction with all of these changes and the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion, so let’s hope they stay on this path.
