Blizzard has posted information regarding Overwatch and the presence it will have at this year’s Blizzcon event.
One of the highlights without a doubt of Blizzcon each year is the opening ceremony, which serves as a welcome to fans in attendance and around the world, as well as an opportunity for the team to thank everyone for their support and showcase what they have been working on in each respective franchise.
This year, things will be slightly different for those who are going to the event in Anaheim this weekend. This year, rather than having a single main stage, there will now be opening ceremonies taking place across the entire convention, so you won’t have to rush to grab a seat if you’re only keen on checking out Overwatch and what’s in store for it.
“If you’re a big Overwatch fan and you really want to be where the Overwatch team and new info are, please come on over to the Overwatch Arena and be a part of Opening Ceremonies with us!!!!”
Meanwhile, the Overwatch Arena will be showcasing the Overwatch World Cup on what’s referred to as a “fantastic” stage, and will offer a full 360 degrees of viewing from any angle, so even those watching at home can be right there where all the action is taking place.
On Saturday, the Mythic Stage plays host to a fun panel, in which Blizz will be showing plenty of behind-the-scenes “making of” moments dating back from the game’s announcement back in 2014, so expect to see extremely early gameplay footage and much more.
