With the upcoming World of Warcraft Patch 7.2, players are curious just what all is coming. Yes, we know about the Broken Shore updates and a certain number of boss fights and how they’re going to happen. In fact, Blizzard did a Q&A about that the other day, but even with that, there are still lots of questions plaguing fans.
Mainly, fans are curious about how this patch will fix some problems that have been in World of Warcraft for a while now. For Battle.net user Pew, he’s wondering if Blizzard will fix the items, gear, and bonuses that happen in Tier 20. For as he notes, Tier 19 is actually better than Tier 20.
In a twist, the Community Manager for the World of Warcraft forums, named Lore, actually responded to the request for answers. Here is the complete statement:
“Tuning of tier 20 set bonuses, as well as the item level of Tomb of Sargeras raid gear, is ongoing, and adjustments will continue as we get closer to the raid’s opening. Item levels in particular will not be finalized until the raid’s release is imminent. However, to help avoid confusion, we’ll be applying a small hotfix that will increase the item level of Tomb of Sargeras raid gear by an additional 15 item levels so it’s at least closer to where we expect the final numbers to end up.”
The reaction to this response was mixed. While many players stated that they’re happy with what was revealed and that this is a good thing, others weren’t convinced. Some still had questions about the depth Blizzard was willing to go with this. Others wanted to know if certain other tiers and class items would get fixed as well.
As in all things, we’ll just have to wait and see how the patch deals with everything, and see whether it did improve the tiers, or made them worse.
