“The majority of the team at Bungie is actually focused entirely on creating Destiny 2.” This is what was revealed during a Q&A with Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg when he was asked about the future of Destiny 2. He also said that the game should be scheduled for release in 2017 which Activision had already confirmed at an earlier date.
Although Hirshberg didn’t announce any details for the game regarding any new features or content this is still exciting news all the same. In the meantime while fans are waiting they still have a ton of upcoming content to enjoy for the first Destiny. The game is supposed to be receiving a major expansion soon called Rise of Iron. Officially announced in June this content will only be available to PS4 and Xbox One players and will make it’s debut on September 20th bringing a multitude of new content and changes to the way the multiplayer of the game is played.
There’s also supposed to be a demonstration of the changes that Bungie is making to the multiplayer with Rise of Iron during Gamescom.
So while you’re trying to contain your excitement for the upcoming Destiny 2, be sure to get your hands on this detailed new expansion.
