Following the sold-out Call of Duty fan celebration, Call of Duty XP, Activision announced that they will release a Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta. Starting first on PlayStation 4 on October 14th, Activision also revealed that all 16 multiplayer maps will be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, having previously announced 10 maps at launch. The additional six maps from the highly anticipated remake will be made available sometime in December at no extra cost.
Activision also announced Call of Duty’s first ever PlayStation VR experience Jackal Assault will be made available for free to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare players as an additional bonus. Jack Assault takes players into the cockpit and puts them in control of the personal fighter jets in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
“There’s a ton of excitement here at Call of Duty XP. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Call of Duty fans to celebrate and enjoy everything this franchise has to offer,” said Call of Duty EVP and GM Rob Kostich. “We’re continuing the momentum from XP next month as fans around the world will be able to join us online to play in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, which will give fans a chance to play multiplayer early and will help us to fine-tune the MP experience as we head into launch.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to launch on November 4th, along with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
