Camelot Unchained is an ambitious MMORPG that aims to put realms of players against each other, all the while ensuring that their players aren’t “exploited” by “money grabs” and that their subscription based title is fair to all.
In this game, you can play as the noble Arthurians, a group known as the Tuatha Dé Danann, or fierce Vikings, all on a quest to claim land of not only your own, but of your enemies. Players fight to ensure that history remembers their name above all others.
The team behind Camelot Unchained has been hard at work to try and prepare things for an upcoming beta. Therefore, they made a blog post detailing what they’ve been up to in recent weeks. First off, they’ve been working on being able to farm minerals. They did a first pass on this, and it seems to be a success, so you can expect a “future expansion” of this in the first beta. They also did an update of the Inventory System, and though there are still plenty of tweaks and improvements to make, there is enough to be content about for now.
They reaffirm that the beta for Camelot Unchained is coming this year, and they ask for patience in regards to updates on it, and specifically when players can expect a launch date for the beta. Though they have grown significantly for a while, there’s still a lot of work to be done before they are satisfied with the game. After all, they are building three different realms that will be inhabited by three different sets of characters, all of which will be filled by players.
However, they also state that they’ve been making great progress on both their animation and VFX systems, and have far surpassed where they thought they would be for the beta. See the official website for a full breakdown on everything they’ve been doing.
