Today, Deep Silver released a mechanics trailer for Atlus’s new entry in their acclaimed JRPG series, Persona 5.
The trailer quickly covers mechanics to be featured in Persona 5, most of which should make those familiar with the franchise feel right at home. With English voice overs from the game, the trailer teases the backstory behind everything that makes Persona a unique title, such as fishing, taking on part-time jobs and socializing, whilst showcasing features like working out and baseball practice.
The trailer finishes with a sneak peek at the slick steel case available as long as supplies last.
Following the success of the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off series, Persona 5 will take players to Tokyo. Our new silent hero is transferred to Shujin High School after being put on probation for assaulting a stalker. On his time there he becomes acquainted with a diverse cast of characters, as well as dealing with the supernatural. The new dungeon is called Palace, a place that steals the ill intents from the hearts of adults, and our band of heroes, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, are tasked with exploring and ridding it of its evil.
Persona 5 has been one of the most anticipated games of the last years. Featuring what might be the most stylish art direction on the franchise to date, it came out in Japan on September and is set to release worldwide on February 2017, for the PlayStation 3 and its newest model, the PlayStation 4. Pre-orders are already available for all editions, including the PlayStation 4 exclusive Premium Edition.
