The frantic first-person shooter Killing Room is making no exception to adding some Christmas cheer to the game in this holiday season. Brand new festive content has arrived as part of a new update for the game, with new items and much more.
First thing you’ll notice is a neat touch with Christmas decorations for the main menu, accompanied by new music. Six new items will be introduced, with the inclusion being prompted by ideas from the community. Spread the festivities with exploding gifts during this wonderful time of the year, just make sure to take advantage whilst it lasts, with the content disappearing after January 6th.
The update isn’t just about new content however. Improvements will also accompany the update, with more balancing to boss battles, as the team behind the game look to analyze boss statistics in order to provide the best difficulty options and overall flow. Among other various fixes is the addition of a flying camera in every room, which follows each step you take and each death you suffer to be broadcasted.
Killing Room offers up classic FPS gameplay mixed with challenging elements such as permanent death, random generation and an overall high difficulty to test you to your limit. The premise of the game echoes the classic video game Smash TV, which presents your character in a rather dire situation that could however leave them incredible rich in the space of a few short hours. The reality-show format allows real online views to decide your reward or punishment during your playthrough, bringing a new level to interaction between player and audience.
