Dragon Ball FighterZ is a hit. In the few short weeks since its release, it’s sold over 2 million copies worldwide. What’s more, it’s being given the spotlight treatment at EVO 2018 this August. And both fans and critics are loving the sleek fighting title. So, that begs the question, what’s next? Well, the obvious answer is DLC content, which inevitably means more fighters coming into the game. But who will get the call-up? Well, the Prince of Saiyans has his opinion, and he’s not likely to take no for an answer.
Christopher Sabat, the voice of Vegeta in the English dub of Dragon Ball Z and beyond as well as an avid gamer himself, has already proved his dedication to the franchise and to the game itself. He actually faced off in a duel in Dragon Ball FighterZ against the voice of Goku himself…and he won. But, he’s not satisfied, he wants another character put into the game:
Well Mr (or Ms) System Works, I’ll have you know that DID use Yamcha in my battle and he’s in INFINITELY better character than Piccolo to play. Now if you’d make MR POPO a playable character, I’d be the happiest man alive. I’ve been begging for this since 2002.

In case you didn’t know, Sabat also voices Mr. Popo in the Dragon Ball dubs, so it’s not surprising that he wants another of his characters to be in the game. What’s more, Mr. Popo is more powerful than you think, he helped train Goku in the series, and thus could be a surprisingly good fighter if done right.
What’s more, Dragon Ball FighterZ has quite the interesting roster of characters, including bringing in Yamcha, Nappa, Gotenks, and more, so why not bring in Mr. Popo? Would you deny the Prince of Saiyans his request??
