Participation of community is one thing that all developers want, and they go to interesting lengths to try and get it to happen. They try and do special events, or make frequent updates, and of course, have forums to talk on, but sometimes you need to go beyond that. And that’s what Crossout has been doing. The Steam game has been asking fans to make custom videos, with the best ones becoming a part of the “Crossout Show”. Episode 7 has just launched on Youtube.
The point of the show is for the players of the game to show off exactly how epic, funny, or creative they can be. All the creators ask is that you do something amazing, however, how you interpret that directive is up to you. You can try and make the ultimate road machine. You can destroy enemies in a particularly epic fashion, or something else, it’s up to you entire, and players have responded.
The video above is the latest edition of the Crossout Show, the “Ballistic Invasion” has a lot of well crafted rides shown off in the video, but those aren’t the only things. Check it out to see the full experience.
If you’re wondering how this all applies to the game, it’s because Crossout is an action-filled MMO, one where you reside in what’s left of the world, called The Wastes. Despite everything being bad, people still need to get around, and thus they make epic machines of various sizes, shapes, and arsenals to ensure that no one and not thing can get in their way.
You can design your ride from pure imagination. You can be a battle machine, a speed machine, a hybrid, whatever you want. Just put it on the road, and go and shoot some enemies.
The game is available now.
