With only a few days left in 2016, more and more developers are giving gamers insights into what went on with the developers during the year, as well as what is to be expected in 2017. This includes the team at ArtCraft, who make the MMO Crowfall. They took to Youtube to explain how 2016 went for them and that “2017 is going to be our year, I feel it!” Here is the basic breakdown:
They started off by noting that the game was named one of the “Most Anticipated MMO’s” as the year started. To which the two, Gordon Walton & Todd Coleman, were very pleased that happened. Second, they revealed that they now over 150,000 registered users for Crowfall, a feat they’re also very proud off. Then, through the Kickstarter they started, they raised over $3 million dollars in backing, which made them quite ecstatic, because that brought them to $10 million dollars total raised so far.
Also during this time, they’ve signed on a European partner to help them complete their game and bring the title to Europe so even more players can enjoy it. Furthermore, the team at ArtCraft is now a full-on team! With now 31 people within the studio, which the two believe is how many they’ll need to complete the game, keep it updated, and quickly remove bugs that could plague the game.
They went on to note the gameplay milestones they did, including combat, story, having four different worlds, on four different servers that people can play on. You can see the full breakdown via the link below, but it’s clear that Crowfall is growing, and 2017 may truly be its year.
