Crowfall is one of the highest grossing crowdfunded titles of all time. Not only has the MMORPG gotten over $2 millions dollars, it’s continued to raise money via external sources to ensure that the game gets even more content. It’s been a while since the Kickstarter launched, and the team wanted to show not only have they come but also, show the amount of progress that has been shown since they started truly showing things for Crowfall.
They did this by showing of a special timeline that details every single announcement since the Kickstarter started, and as you’ll see, there have been a lot of announcements, and updates, and art reveals, and model reveals, and so much more, you can see just how far the game has come. And the team is very happy that this is happening, and it shows that they are moving forward at all times, and they are always ready to show the supporters something that will let them know they are still moving.
That’s their goal for the future, to just keep moving forward, keep making updates and improvements so that they can show them off to players. Now, the devs have also admitted that not everything has gone to their plan and vision. Specifically, they noted that their controller schemes, one that would work with actual physics, didn’t go smoothly, and they had to redo a lot of it. Another major problem was with their combat system, they spent a lot of time polishing it. They’re still hoping to improve the visuals and make sure the game is as balanced as it can be.
In the end, though, it’s important to note that though Crowfall is still progress and in early development, the good news is, they’re still growing. Many games have gotten funding and failed to make it despite the funds they received. The team at Crowfall are making sure they aren’t on that list.
