Crowfall is an MMORPG that is continuously being funded by players to get made. As such, the game continues to grow and get bigger, including new mechanics and gameplay features. The team has been working hard over the last little while to implement a feature that’s been worked on for a bit now, Sieges. And now, via a test, they’ve implemented sieges into the main game world, and now they’re ready to talk about how these sieges will work, how long they will last, etc.
First up, for each siege you will pick one of three sides: Balance, Chaos, or Order. You can only pick one for the siege, so choose wisely. Once you enter the campaign, your goal will be to capture enemy forts and keeps. Doing so won’t be easy at times, but sieges aren’t supposed to be easy. Right? Anyway, Forts will be changing hands properly, but to claim a keep, you have to do something special. You have to plant the Tree of Life.
You can only do this by getting a golden apple. Which can be procured by harvesting trees, or going to areas like mines, mills, and quarries and looking for them there. Once you plant a golden appeal at an unowned keep, the tree will start to grow, and the keep itself will be shielded from attack for 5 mintues. On the flip side, to start a siege on a keep, players must get an apple and a Hunger shard in order to plant a Baneswood tree. Once that happens, both sides will have 5 minutes to prepare before the siege begins.
We know this sounds very complicated, and there’s some stuff that hasn’t even been mentioned yet, but the Crowfall team assures you that these changes and updates are crucial to making the game even better.
