NetherRealm Studios sure aren’t shy about teasing characters being added to the roster of Injustice 2, and now there’s rumblings about another familiar face that might well be joining the game. Creative director Ed Boon tweeted a hint that Cyrax could be coming to Injustice 2, after a picture showed wiring, yellow armor and black shading.
For those who may be unfamiliar with Cyrax, the robotic assassin first appeared back in the classic beat-em-up Mortal Kombat 3, and given its abilities bring a new variety to the game back then, it quickly gained popularity amongst the fanbase.
Of course, this is just a teaser at the moment, and it could just be smoke and mirrors from Boon. After all, he does have a habit of teasing fans with cryptic messages and images, that often mean very little if not nothing at all.
In other Injustice 2 news, Ed Boon did state at Comic-Con in San Diego last week that the Story Mode of Injustice 2 may have some additions made to it. As far as Cyrax is concerned however, there’s nothing official looking to be announced anytime soon, though fans remain hopeful that the cyborg will feature in the next DLC character pack. We’ve already seen Sub-Zero added from the MK universe, so its entirely possible still for Cyrax to make an appearance.
