Dark Souls III players were eagerly waiting for Ashes of Ariandel DLC, and now it’s finally here to quench your thirst for suffering.
Ashes of Ariandel gives you roughly four hours of content, which is surprisingly short considering the price of the DLC, so keep that in mind. What can you expect from the DLC you might be asking yourself? Well, as it is Dark Souls, you will come across interesting bosses that will keep you on your toes for the entirety of the fight, new monsters to frustrate you with their unexpected attacks and the beautiful snowy environment of Ariandel.
You will notice that you’re always surrounded by a lot of foes, so try not to get run over instantly. The whole size of the area that you’re exploring is disappointingly small, but it’s open to an extent, meaning it’s much less linear than the environments in the base game.
If you’re a fan of PvP in Dark Souls, you have some new environments to play with, which are really well designed. But, if you’re exclusively a PvE player, you won’t find as much content from the DLC as you’d expect, which is quite a shame since players waited quite a lot for it!
