It seems as if PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been subjected to further datamining, courtesy of Reddit user bizzfarts. This time, new information has surfaced from the PUBG test server.
What has come to light is a new version of the minimap for the game’s desert map, with the title for the new map being Valle Coronado. This new minimap will also apparently have new names for the towns and cities that are featured across it. Players can also expect the new version to feature topographical mapping, which showcases mountain ranges, craters and much more.
As well as details surrounding the minimap, we have also seen three new weapons emerge, which include a Winchester 1894 lever action rifle, a Rhino revolver, and a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun, as well as a flare gun.
On the subject of weapons, it’s safe to assume that Valle Coronado will include a number of new weapons, vehicles and more, given that the terrain differs from the current Russian-inspired island of Erangel.
We’ve seen previous datamining efforts showcase what PUBG has got in the works, including versions of the minimap, new vehicles and even new weapons. It certainly adds to the hype that is surrounding the game at the moment, especially prior to its full release on PC, which will also accompany the release on the Xbox One Preview program around the same time.
