Variety is an important attribute in MMORPGs, as they help keep players not only entertained as they play the game itself, but can also add some choice and personal touches when it comes to their characters. Mainly, you can choose the race and class that your toon is. And typically, as expansions and updates happen, more races and classes arrive. For World of Warcraft, their Legion expansion brought a new class in the form of the Demon Hunter. But, some players are asking if those who chose that class now regret it.
It’s not that odd of a question to ask to be honest, as there’s a lot of trial and error that goes on to try and find a perfect fit in terms of classes. Sometimes, the class just doesn’t play they way you want it to. It’s this potential letdown that is making Redditor RainGhost ask his fellow World of Warcraft players whether he should try it out:
“Demon Hunter looks to be pretty exciting to play, but I’ve also heard that there are a ton of them at the cap and neither their DPS nor their tank spec are highly in demand.”
So, what did they say? Well, as you might expect, there’s a lot of conflicting thoughts. One player mained Demon Hunters from the moment Legion arrived, but then stopped because they didn’t like the rotation of havoc. Others have ranted and raved about how good the class is, and highly recommend it.
Others though think that when you play the class for too long, it gets very boring, and thus should be used as an alternative character only. And some think they’re so boring that they shouldn’t try it at all.
As in all things though, if you’re considering a new class to try out, just go out and try it! The worst thing that can happen is you say, “Eh, this isn’t for me” and then more on to another class.
