The highly anticipated Destiny 2 beta is now underway for those who pre-ordered the game on PS4, with Xbox One players being able to join in later today. In the short time that the beta has been running, players have already managed to glitch their way into unfinished areas of the game.
After a matter of hours, people have accessed what has been described as a Lost Sector on the planetoid Nessus. In Destiny 2, there will be new dungeon-style areas known as Lost Sectors, which will be available to explore in the game’s Patrol mode, which coincidentally isn’t actually available in the beta. There’s also a door that looks suspiciously like the one from the Vault of Glass raid from the first game.
As to be expected, there isn’t really much to see, with half-finished platforms and other bits of the broken up level dotted around. Its still interesting to see players find ways into unfinished parts of the game, in a similar fashion to when the original Destiny was released.
If you’re looking to get involved in all the action, then the Destiny 2 console beta is now underway for PlayStation 4 customers who pre-ordered the game. If you pre-ordered the game on Xbox One, you won’t have long to wait, as you can dive in at 6pm tonight. From tomorrow, everyone who hasn’t pre-ordered will also be free to join in. As for PC, the beta is set to launch next month.
Destiny 2 launches on September 6th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release to follow on October 24th.
