You have to sympathize with the players of Destiny 2, for all they have wanted for a while now was a sequel to the game that started out rough but found its way in the end. They hoped that Bungie had learned from their mistakes and would make a sequel that was so epic, and built upon what the original did (the good stuff anyway), so that the sequel would be amazing from the getgo. Sadly, that didn’t happen in minds of many, and the continues to aggravate players.
But now, it’s being taken to a whole new level, for barely a week after a “State Of Address” from Bungie about Destiny 2 and the changes that’s coming to it, players have found out that Destiny 2’s first DLC, “Curse of Osiris”, has locked certain content. This is being reported all over, and Reddit is making its thoughts known about it.
Basically, the games DLC locks it so that certain new Raids and Nightfall Strikes behind the increased level cap of the DLC.
The new cap is at 330, but, you can only get that new level through the DLC, so if you’ve been looking for a new challenge, you’ll have to buy the DLC to get it, regardless if you want the actual DLC content. Furthermore, Bungie brought back the heroic strike playlist, which is accessible to all in the game…but…you need the DLC to unlock it. Naturally, players aren’t happy about it.
“It’s acts like this that make you wonder wtf was Bungie thinking? Haven’t they learned from EA?”
And who can blame them? They’ve been asking for good changes, and no sooner are they promised that than this locked content appears. Now yes, this DLC was being made long before Bungie accepted that they were doing something wrong, but something tells us they could’ve delayed the DLC one week to unlock everything. No word from Bungie on this issue as of yet.
