Destiny 2 is very close to release. Or at least, for consoles it is. It’ll come out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4, but for PC gamers, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for it. However, you will get a chance to play the game via an upcoming beta for it. Bungie acknowledges that you may have a lot of questions on what you may need for the beta, or for what the beta will be like. So, they decided to answer them all.
How so? Well, they made a megathread on Reddit, and on it listed as many questions as possible about what the game would be like, or what you might require to play it. Here are the highlights of the thread.
The Destiny 2 beta will be available today at noon Central Time. What’s more, you can’t preload the beta, you have to wait for the full release to get it. The download itself will be available on Battle.net, and it’ll be about 16GB of data, so keep that in mind before you download it. The beta will end on the 31 of August, so make sure you get as much playing time as you can with it.
As this is just a beta, which is essentially a small demo of Destiny 2, you won’t be able to transfer your data or get perks from playing the original Destiny, that’ll only happen when the main game is released. This beta is for testing purposes and to show you what you can expect. If you want to make sure your PC can handle the beta, check out the specifications.
Finally, what’s in the beta is the first mission of the game, called Homecoming, as well as PvP modes Countdown and Control, the New Strike area the Inverted Tower, and 6 subclasses for you to choose from.
