Ever since the launch of Destiny 2, players and critics alike haven’t been very kind to the game. The highly-anticipated sequel didn’t live up to players expectations in many ways, including how the game is played, how weapons are earned, and much more. There’s been a lot of negativity, and yet, despite all of this, there are some bright lights that shine because of certain players. Some are just players that say they like playing the game, and others are taking steps to make sure others enjoy the game too.
This particular story comes from Redditor wikiweak, who recounts how his wife not only is a Destiny fan, but a high-level player, which is pretty cool in its own right. What’s more, she apparently desires to help as many other players as she can, which is very cool. This only intensified when Destiny 2 released as he recalls the story, and one night, she took it to a whole new level.
One night, when she was playing the game and doing Raids and such, he would begin talking with her, just standard stuff about the game, but occasionally he would be asked by his wife to go silent. When he did, he noticed that his wife started using emotes in conversations with other players. After a while, he asked what she was doing with those emotes.
Turns out she had devised a special system that used the emotes to communicate with deaf players. That’s right, she was helping deaf Destiny 2 players get through certain areas of the game where communication was vital. That’s pretty freaking cool, and shows just what kind of person she is. And as her husband said so eloquently:
“She deserved a little extra loot.”
Regardless, what she did for those players was inspiring, and we hope that there are others like her out there helping other players.
