Destiny 2 has just gotten a significant change, one that will affect all players in the game. For in the title, XP was originally scaled based on activities the player was doing. Mainly, if they were playing massive events like Raids or Dungeons, the scaling of their XP would go up. But, if they were doing “lesser” events like Public Events or such like that, the XP scaling wouldn’t be as high. Well, players found out about it, and posted it on sites like Reddit, where other journalists found it, wrote it up themselves, and spread the word even more.
Why does this matter? Well, on the official Destiny 2 website, Bungie said they’re shutting down the XP scaling system, and using a much more simple, and fair, system to scale XP. So, this is a victory for the players for sure. And for one Redditor, the reason is because of the journalists who helped spread the word.
And because of that…they want help changing the game again.
For you see, while this XP scaling issue was a big deal, it wasn’t the only one, and Destiny 2 is still rife with problems that the fans hate, and wish were fixed just like this. So, Redditor NFSGaming is asking us (the journalists) for help with amplifying the cries of the players so that Bungie will hear it and continue making significant changes to the game.
Many Redditors agree with this plan, which we admit is a clever one for sure. But some of them noted it won’t just be on journalists to do this, the players have to help too. Even citing the Battlefront II situation that happened where players rallied together in order for EA to change and shut down bad parts of it.
Could that happen here? Well, we technically have precedent now, so why not?
