With the trailer arrival of Destiny 2 (which you can see below) and details for the game slowly coming out, it’s easy to be excited for the newest RPG from Bungie. However, one fan is still thinking about the original Destiny, but not in the way you might think. As part of a college course, I_Am_Ali-Buba decided to conduct a survey of Destiny players and see how the results turned out. The response was overwhelming, with over 6000 players participating.
Some questions were standard, but a lot really dug into what made the game tick and how players responded to them. Here is a breakdown of some of the results.
On a scale of ten, the average user rating for Destiny was 8.4, which isn’t too far from what many thought about the game in general. It’ll be interesting to see how the score of the sequel compares.
64% of the participants said that they played the game at least once a day, with 26% saying they played at least once every two days. For 6000 people in the survey, that’s a lot of commitment.
In regards to Xur, 42% of players are happy to see him, but admit a lot of their excitement dies out once they see his stock. However, 33% are just happy to see him regardless.
One I’m sure Bungie will like is that 72% of the participates admitted that they were, at some point in time, addicted to Destiny, with (as part of another question) 56% considering that they have been affected negatively because of their addiction. Acceptance is the first step, right?
In a twist, though, 57% of the participants stated that Destiny may have been made to be addictive because it lacked in other areas of gameplay. Interesting question and answer.
So, where do you fall in some of these questions? Let us know in the comments below.
