The most recent SWTOR developer livestream showcased content from the Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion. This content including previews of upcoming chapters, skill animations and details on other features to be included in the game.
KOTET boasts nine chapters taking place on two new planets, Iokath and Nathema. The latter planet will also provide some key background narrative on Arcann and Vaylin. As for the new chapters, they will introduce new gameplay features to SWTOR, including piloting a walker, going undercover as a Zakuul knight and much more. There will also be repeatable chapters, with a third difficultly level to be added early next year in January.
The livestream brought to light more information on the Galactic Command system. Developers are currently considering non-subscriber content, but the content on show was strictly subscriber-specific. The Galactic Command for the time being will give eligible players to earn Command Experience Points from Command Crates, which can be earned from tasks such as PvP or Operations. These crates contain all sorts of random gear, varying in rarity from green to legendary.
Details for Uprisings were also included, providing a faster paced version to the Operations activity. These will be available to players as part of the Galactic Command content at level 70. Finally, the stream team gave further information on Dark vs Light, including a look at the public events that are involved, with community questions and a look at the animations coming to each sub-class’ skills.
