VR video game developers GPM have announced a partnership with other fellow VR developers, in an attempt at spurring on the poularization of the Virtual Reality gaming platform. GPM are rapidly growing on the VR scene, collaborating with VR developers through the “Dev Korea” community.
In our best efforts of translation from the Korean site Inven, we have discovered the extent of GPM’s span across the current VR industry. The developers of Monster VR have acquired 17 VR games in a short space of time, bringing the VR platform to a wide variety of genres including action, sports, casino, horror, shooters and even rollercoaster games. The partnering companies involved include Ball Games, Etoile Rap, Kung Games, Doverman Studios, M2Games, Subdream Studio and more.
Kung Games, a partner of Monster VR, are currently developing “CODEX VR”, a highly-anticipated first-person action RPG game. The Korean developer also participated in Oculus VR Jam back in 2015 for the first time. Meanwhile, Subdream Studio have past experience of selling products such as Galanet and Caham, whilst Ball Games are renowned for the “Shimandaru” series, and are currently looking to showcase their development skills with a Baseball VR experience.
GPM aim to bring the Virtual Reality to an expansive audience where it will be accessible easily for those interested. Planned accommodation facilities include PC rooms, karaoke rooms and Monster VR merchants. In addition to this, GPM’S Chinese partner, Judy VR, are currently preparing a game that will be served by Monster VR, and will be serviced in over 3,000 experience zones across China.
