Things might seem quiet on the Diablo III front, at least when it comes to the upcoming Blizzcon event. Nothing new is set to be announced at Blizzcon 2017 as far as the ARPG is concerned, though there has been promise of news in the future.
What fans are waiting on is further information regarding the end of season 11, and the beginning of season 12. We now know, thanks to a recent blog on Battle.net, that the 11th season will end on October 20th, and following a short break, season 12 will get underway on November 9th.
As for the current PTR, this was originally scheduled to have had its last patch. However, after further observation, there will be a new build set for testing next week, with Thursday being a tentative day of release. This was confirmed by community manager Nevalistis, who went into detail on what the patch will be focused on:
The changes we’re making were, primarily, bug fixes in tooltips and other behind the scenes needs… but while we were at it, there were a few last community feedback requests we saw in response to our last PTR patch. Some of those changes were low risk, so we’re going to move forward with them. I look forward to seeing your feedback after the patch next week!
So there we have it. We have finally been given an end date for season 11 and a beginning for season 12, and even more patch changes will be coming to the PTR at some point (probably Thursday) next week, focused on player feedback and some low risk bug fixes.
