Despite the fact that Diablo III has been out for quite some time now, there are still many fans who are looking to offer up suggestions on how the game can be improved. In this particular instance, fans have been discussing the length of Seasons, and whether or not they should be shortened.
You may have noticed that fellow Blizzard franchise Overwatch has adopted a similar method, which saw a reduction in seasons down to two months. This might well be a good idea where Diablo III is concerned for a number of reasons. Some players often lose a sense of progress given the length of Seasons, having to compete against botters for such a long period of time. It is understandable as to why players may lose interest over the current state of Seasons, given the length that it is currently at.
There are solutions of sorts if you want to keep it exciting. For example, if you prefer the earlier parts of Seasons before it becomes too much of a grind, you can always swap regions should you get the urge to do so. You can also see why Blizzard has it at three months too, seeing as it gives them time to test any item changes that they may need to see to.
