Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a massive RPG title that is currently on Steam Early Access. A sequel to the hit crowdfunded title, players can expect a deep story, very detailed and branching gameplay, and a visual style that will be a treat for the eyes. As it’s in Steam Early Access, the team behind the game will frequently bring more and more updates to the game to show new features to the players. One such update has just been released.
When the Kickstarter for Divinity: Original Sin 2 ran, they had set some stretch goals that they would add if they reached it in the funds. Well, they did, and as such, two new skill schools and classes have now been added to the Steam Early Access version. According to the press release, Summoning and Polymorphing are their names, and they add even more depth the gameplay and variety of the game. With Polymorphing, you can actually turn your foes into chickens, or they can augment their own bodies to have animal like qualities like bull horns.
For those who prefer a darker turn on things, you can go the Summoning route and use the spells and skills available to summon demon hordes to do your bidding. These include tiny little followers and Totems, which are basically weapons that can be placed around the battlefield. As such, you can literally have an army at your disposal.
Furthermore, the new update also has a very treacherous feature called “Make War”, where you can actually fight and kill your teammates. Not that we condone such backstabbing, we’re just letting you know.
So, if this intrigues you, you’ll definitely want to head over to the Divinity: Original Sin 2 page and sign up for the Steam Early Access version, there’s a lot more coming before the full release.
