Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the sequel to the popular fantasy RPG of the same name. Originally put on Kickstarter, the turn-based multiplayer RPG breezed through its Kickstarter goals and raised $2,032,434 to make the game a reality. It released today on GOG and on Steam and will be available to purchase for $44.99. If you haven’t already, check out the game’s trailer which released back in August on the official Youtube channel.
The game is set one thousand years after the events of 2014’s Divinity: Original Sin and features “an expanded world, branching story, deeper turn-based combat, a classless character development system, 4-player co-op play, and epic amounts of fully voiced dialogue” according to a press release the developers put out today. It will also feature Discord integration, with which players can connect their Discord accounts with the game so their Discord profile can show how much progress they’ve made in the game and what modes they are playing. This feature will also help players who wish to play multiplayer find friends who are currently in-game.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 boasts six unique characters will backstories, personalities, and their own questlines. However, if you’re the type of person who wants to make their own mark on the world, you can also create your own character to play through the world with. The game has a “classless system” in which players can choose between over 200 base skills and spells.
If you want to play Divinity: Original Sin 2 and you weren’t one of the 40,000 backers, then get up to three of your friends to pick up the game as well, as it offers 4 player co-op. It is available right now for PC on Steam and GOG so get on over to one of those pages to purchase your copy today.
