EVO 2018 recently revealed their lineup for the games that’ll be focused on in the beloved esports tournament. In it were two different Smash Bros games (Melee and Smash 4), BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle (which hasn’t even come out yet), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, Injustice 2, and the game that everyone was hyped about, Dragon Ball FighterZ. This title was hyped from the moment it was unveiled at E3 2017, and the title has been praised since its launch, so it’s not really a surprise that they are bringing it to EVO 2018.
However, in a very fun and very surprise twist, one of the team members behind Dragon Ball FighterZ is going to be joining the tournament for the game. Her name is Tinoko Hiroki, and she was a producer for the game, and as she reveals below, she’s coming for you all! So you better be ready for her!
Is this cheating? Absolutely not! Just because she’s a producer on the game doesn’t mean she’s the greatest player in the world…officially. What’s more, she’s giving you fair warning, so if you lose to her, it’s your own darn fault. Plus, you got until August 3rd to practice, so you better get to it!
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a very special fighting game in many aspects. For not only does it respect the Dragon Ball franchise, but it also builds upon it in certain ways. The storyline features a character created specifically for the game by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
Then, there’s the visuals, which look like they’re been pulled right from the anime itself. Including recreating many classic Dragon Ball scenes like the battle with Frieza, Cell, Beerus, and more. Not to mention, the combat is easy to do, yet is deep in its combos.
The game is available now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
