Collectible card games have been around for a long time, but they took a new form when they made the transition to video games. They became even more alive in a way, and developers have used to fashion fresh and original concepts for the genre. One of them is Duel of Summoners, which is a free-to-play title currently on Steam. The game does have you collecting cards to build a deck, but your deck is only comprised of 12 cards. So you might need some tips on deck-building to make sure you don’t get overwhelmed.
Thankfully, the team behind the game openly accept all tips from players of the game. They even went through Twitter, Facebook, and other media to ensure that all tips are checked out. Then, they put them on Steam as part of a recurring “5-Star Tips” segment, the latest of which has come out. Here are the highlights.
For some, management of resources is far more important than anything else. In their eyes, it’s what leads you to victory. So be wise about how you use them.
Just because you can play all your cards, doesn’t mean you should. After all, you don’t know what your opponent has. So hold back a strategy or two to ensure you have something in case they pull a fast one and break up your “all-in-one” strategy.
Leveling up may seem like the right thing to do all the time, but sometimes it can be a detriment and not a help. So be wise before doing it when in a pinch.
When choosing your Heroes, make sure you understand all that they can do. Some effects work both ways, and if not observed correctly, could backfire on you in battle.
