As if Star War Battlefront 2 isn’t on the tail end of controversy and criticism lately. It has become what is probably the most debated topic of the year, with microtransactions being the forefront of backlash from players across the gaming industry.
Battlefront 2 isn’t the only guilty party by any means, with Middle-earth: Shadow of War among others being steeped in return fire with the inclusion of loot boxes. Still, the latest Battlefront sequel from EA and DICE is one that seems to sit above the rest, and now players have yet another reason to be angry with it.
For those of you who have been playing the recently released game lately, you may well have been experiencing quite a bit of lag. A video provided below has showcased this, just in case you’re one of the lucky ones who haven’t suffered from it so far, which you can find at the following link.
Regardless, EA and DICE don’t seem too keen to address the situation in the manner that would at least provide some explanation, but rather offering the following two-line response:
We are aware of the issues that lead players to experience latencies on the game servers. We are currently investigating and will update you as soon as we have more info.
One player joked about the situation that the lag is “caused by gamers shutting the door to hard as they quit playing for good, the vacuum as it closes Sucks you back a few seconds and will be fixed when the last few remaining players have gone.”
