Today, a boxed version of adventure-RPG Earthlock: Festival of Magic has been released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is available in regions including Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. This will also mark the worldwide release of the game via the PlayStation Store, meanwhile players in North America can get their hands on a boxed copy on February 14th.
The turn-based, western take on the JRPG genre presents Earthlock: Festival of Magic, which starts out as what seems to be a standard quest for desert scavenger Amon. This rapidly accelerates into a journey where unlikely heroes come together in order to save Umbra, a world once steeped in beauty that has mysteriously stopped spinning.
Earthlock can also boast a heavy community input, as Soedesco turned to fans to decide their favourite design for the artwork for the boxed edition. After a number of votes, The Hollow Knight cover won by overwhelming margins.
Features include a Character Talent Tree, which allows players to customize their characters in order to match their respective and unique style of play. This is accompanied by Character Combat Pairing, which pairs up characters to create battle bonds between duos, resulting in new combat perks through levelling. Harvesting will also play a key role, as you harvest elemental plants, craft materials and more to produce potions, ammunition and more. Players can also look forward over 30 hours of storyline to enjoy, complte with side-quests and much more as they explore the land of Umbra.
