Clearly Overwatch struck gold with their idea, because it has been announced that the very same weekend, Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play. Starting tomorrow at 12:01am on the PlayStation Store, players will be able to download the base game for Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
This includes access to the entire base game and all of its associated zones. The ESO team warns that the game will take up a full 73GB of space on your PS4 so be prepared. But wait, there’s more!
If you wish to play this free weekend on PC, you can do that as well. Though, if you’re on PC, you don’t even have to wait until tomorrow to download. You can download now so the game is ripe and ready when the free weekend starts for PC players at 1PM tomorrow.
For both platforms this free weekend will continue until November 20th at 1PM EST for PC and 11:59PM EST for PS4 players.
This is a really strong move following the recent launch of the One Tamriel update, which focuses on level scaling in order to make the game more accessible.
If you’ve been waiting for a chance to experience this large multiplayer edition of the vibrant world of Tamriel, here’s your chance to do exactly that, free of charge. Happy hunting, enjoy your exploration, and watch out for those Oblivion gates.
