The next DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online will take players back to Vvardenfell, the island in the province of Morrowind where the eponymous entry in the franchise takes place.
Bethesda is the video game company responsible for some of the greatest video games of all time, most notably The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They have been dominating the media with Fallout 4 for a considerable amount of time since the game’s first reveal in 2015 and recently reminded fans why they matter with the remastered version of Skyrim. Alas, the first MMO based on the iconic fantasy RPG hasn’t managed to reach the same level of success.
Published by Bethesda and developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and first released in 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online was met with harsh criticism from fans and critics alike. Despite the initial reception, the MMORPG managed to get back on its feet with multiple updates and the abolishing of its subscription business model. Ever since the game has experienced a considerable growth in its community.
Now, TES fans will have the opportunity to revisit the main stage of the third installment in the franchise, Morrowind. Set to release on June 6, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will take players to the island of Vvardenfell roughly 700 years before the events of TESIII: Morrowind. Fans of the classic RPG will witness familiar sceneries and locations that by the time of TESO are still under construction. Furthermore, the update will bring an all-new class known as Warden. Finally, Morrowind will introduce a new PvP mode and a trial meant for a twelve-player party.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released on June 6 for Windows PC, OS X, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. For those anxious and craving special reward, the four editions of the DLC are available for pre-order and include a Warden costume and a dwarven war dog pet, among other rewards.
